Hey, I'm Gustavo 👋

I'm a bilingual software Engineer based in the United States 🇺🇸 with more than a decade of experience building full-stack web solutions. My focus is on scalability, reliability, and speed, using technologies like React, Next.JS, Ember.js, Node.js, and AWS. I'm also a certified Developer Associate with Amazon Web Services, bringing expertise in cloud computing to my projects. Over the years, I have led agile development teams from planning to deployment, while mentoring and onboarding new engineers.

I was born in Guatemala 🇬🇹, Central America, but I moved to the United States when I was 16 years old. After completing high school, I attended the University of Mary, where I earned degrees in Computer Information Systems and Information Technology Management with a minor in Business Administration. I was a dedicated student and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2014.

Since then, I have been a software engineer, building full-stack solutions for various organizations. I have over ten years of experience creating innovative software solutions. I'm always looking to learn and grow in my field and master my craft.

I love racing mountain bikes and playing video games in my spare time. Something about the rush of speeding down treacherous mountain trails gets my blood pumping 🚵🏼. I also value spending quality time with my family and friends and cherish the moments I get to share with them.

I have achieved great success as a software engineer through my hard work, dedication, and passion for excellence. But I'm not done yet; I'm constantly pushing myself to be the best I can be, personally and professionally.
